A primary focus of this RN role will be preparing new patient charts and documentation for the
physician within our complex specialty practice, as well as assisting with the care of new
patients during clinic visits. We are a one-stop shop for women suffering from gynecologic
diseases, providing comprehensive care that includes surgery, chemotherapy management,
and survivorship care.

This role requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented RN who is proactive and meticulous in
their work. We are also looking for a strong team player who is willing to assist the clinical team
when coverage is needed.

Another key responsibility will be completing Pre-Operative Education visits for patients and
assisting with the coordination and collection of all required clearances and orders to ensure
a smooth and seamless transition for both the patient and the physician.

The RN will work closely alongside our Physician, Surgery Scheduling Specialists, APPs,
and Pre-Surgery Testing teams to support efficient, coordinated patient care.

Experience in the following areas is highly encouraged but not required:
* Surgery
* Women's Health
* Oncology

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

REQUIRED:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

  1. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
