National Grid is hiring a Senior Supervisor for our MA Gas Complex Construction department in Braintree, MA.

Our Team

We are responsible for the daily supervision and organization of field staff that safely, effectively, and efficiently and accomplish complex construction job tasks.

What You'll Do
  • Perform oversight of work from a safety, compliance and efficiency perspective
  • Foster cooperative working relationships with bargaining units and contractors
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Company standards and procedures, Federal and State Code requirements, OSHA, and municipal rules and regulations
  • Ensure accurate reporting of work including SOP's, work order tracking, daily completion reporting, sketches, and Operator Qualifications
  • Respond to emergencies and supervise a workforce that operates on a 24-hr 7 days/week basis and participate in off hour, after hour supervisory coverage

About You
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of gas field experience required
  • API 1169 Certification preferred
  • Prior experience dealing with diverse groups including utility customers and government officials in a tactful and diplomatic manner required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP experience required
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$122,000 - $140,000 a year

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
