Field Service Supervisor

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Field Service Supervisor in our Power Systems Division available out of our San Antonio, Texas location. This position is responsible for scheduling and prioritizing all work performed in the assigned area of responsibility; providing quotes for jobs and work order review for customer billing; customer communications; field safety practices and compliance with field operating policies. This position has major responsibilities to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction in regards to rebuilds & repairs on heavy equipment and commercial engines (natural gas and diesel) in the field environment.

Essential Functions:



  • Establish and mutually agree upon and communicate job expectations (i.e. accurate price quotes and time estimates) to internal and external customers to ensure customer satisfaction according to our mission and core business values.
  • Establish, model, and reinforce safety practices that are consistent with our mission to ensure employee and customer safety.
  • Model collaborative problem solving and personal influencing skills to ensure that service activities in the incumbent's area of responsibility are aligned with the overall business plan of the service department and company.
  • Provide the Service Manager with status reports on all open work orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Review monthly service operations branch statement to assess progress on department business goals.
  • Participate in the selection, development, and evaluation of service department personnel to ensure a high level of commitment and competence is available in our human resources.


Qualifications:

A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:



  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment repair experience in shop and field required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience highly desired.
  • Must have GED or High School diploma.
  • Must be proficient with computers. (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be a well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated person with good people skills.
  • Must have a steady employment history.
  • Must be capable of accurate order processing.
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to interact well with customers and fellow employees.

  • Must have a valid drivers' license.



  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.


  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly organized and excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent attendance and work performance.
  • Must self-motivated with a high commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.
