Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Neonatologist to join our quality-oriented team at our main campus in Urbana, Illinois.


Opportunity Details

  • Join a group of 6 Neonatologists and 11 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
  • 48bed Level III NICU, with 3,068 births with 230 NICU admissions in 2024
  • Dedicated Neonatal and Obstetric air and ground and Pediatric transport services
  • Established relationship with a pediatric tertiary care center to provide consultation services for Pediatric Infectious Disease and Hematology/Oncology
  • Pediatric subspecialties onsite including Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Sleep, Genetics, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, Cardiology, Psychology, Urology, and 24 hour Pediatric Hospitalist services
  • Active participant in the Vermont Oxford Network and Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative
  • Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine

  • As one of just three designated pediatric critical care centers in downstate Illinois and the region's only dedicated pediatric intensive care unit, we're ready in any medical emergency to provide critical and specialty care for children.
  • We offer the region's only Level III perinatal services, with neonatologists, obstetricians, nurses and other experts staffing our 48-bed neonatal ICU 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Our transport teams are also on call 24/7, ready to transport high-risk expectant and new mothers, and premature and critically ill newborns to our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit via air or ground ambulance.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $449,000 - $454,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
