Equity Research Associate - Internet Sector
*Location:* New York, NY (Onsite) *Experience Level:* Entry to Early Career (2-3 years) Overview BMO Capital Markets is seeking an *Equity Research Associate* to join its *Internet Research team* in New York. This role supports a senior analyst in delivering highquality equity research, financial analysis, and investment insights on companies across the internet and digital media landscape. The ideal candidate is analytical, detailoriented, and passionate about equity research, with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment. Key Responsibilities * Draft and publish daily equity research reports, notes, and commentary * Analyze company financial statements, earnings releases, and press announcements * Build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models * Conduct industry and company research using databases, publications, and proprietary tools * Respond to complex data and information requests from internal and external stakeholders * Communicate investment recommendations and analysis to clients and internal partners * Participate in management meetings, site visits, and industry events Required Qualifications * 2-3 years of relevant experience in equity research, finance, accounting, or a related field * Postsecondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline * *U.S. only:* SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses (required) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated interest in Equity Research and financial markets * High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills * Ability to manage heavy workloads and meet tight deadlines * Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours as needed * Advanced technical proficiency in *Excel*, *Word*, *PowerPoint*, and *Bloomberg* Preferred Qualifications * MBA, CPA/CA, and/or CFA designation * Prior banking or financial services experience * Exposure to the internet, media, or technology sectors (not required) What Makes This Role Compelling * Direct exposure to a highly ranked analyst and leading internet/media coverage * Opportunity to develop deep sector expertise and modeling skills * High visibility role with meaningful client and market impact *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
