The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Division of Scholarship and Research at the School of Nursing is recruiting a short term casual to work as a part of Dr. Melissa Beauchemin's research team. The casual will work closely with Dr. Beauchemin to support a research study that is testing a navigation intervention for adolescents and young adults with cancer who have financial hardship or unmet health-related social needs.

The successful candidate must possess prior experience conducting research interviews, a high level of initiative, excellent organizational and communication skills, and be attentive to detail in addition to familiarity with data management. Ability to work on site in clinical locations (Washington Heights) is preferred.

Responsibilities




  • Responsibilities include:

    -recruiting patients to the study;

    -conducting informed consent, and administering surveys; conduct qualitative interviewing;


    -maintain a database of patient contacts and interview scheduling, ensure the completeness and accuracy of data collected, and contribute to progress reports and manuscript preparation


Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree.

Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications

Previous research experience is desired.

Statistical and database management experience desired.

At least one year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferable due to the nature of this study.
