Position Title Scientist Duration: Initial Contract 6 months (with extensions up to two years) Location: North Chicago, IL, 60064; 100% onsite Description: Daily Work Schedule Expectations 8 hours onsite (not including lunch). Typically, 8 AM to 5 PM Top 3 - 5 Skills Needed for each role 1. Operation of instrumentation used for LC-MS/MS 2. Review and quantitation of LC-MS/MS data 3. Maintain excellent documentation of methods and keen attention to detail 4. Familiarity with automated liquid handling robots is a plus 5. Description: The Quantitative, Translational, and ADME Sciences Department in North Chicago, IL is seeking a highly motivated team member to operate in an LCMS-based quantitative bioanalytical role to support research and development projects. The successful candidate will be in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision once trained. The candidate will be responsible for quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of synthetic molecules and peptides, data analysis and interpretation, and documentation. Key Responsibilities: * Perform quantitative LC-MS/MS of synthetic molecules and peptides from in-vitro and in-vivo biomatrices to support ADME bioassays and PK/PD studies. * Operate and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS instrumentation and perform routine maintenance of LC-MS/MS equipment. * Maintain excellent documentation of all work, including electronic lab notebooks, methods, and protocols. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (e.g., chemistry, biology, pharmacology, or related disciplines), with typically 0-3 years of experience, or a master's degree with no additional experience. * Experience with quantitative bioanalysis of synthetic molecules and peptides. * Hands-on experience with one or more current LC-MS/MS platforms (e.g., Sciex triple quadrupoles, Agilent HPLCs, Shimadzu HPLCs, PAL autosamplers, ADDA, LS-II) and software (e.g., Analyst, Discovery Quant, LeadScape, Sciex OS, Electronic Laboratory Notebook). * Familiarity with automated sample preparation platforms. * Familiarity with ADME, PK, PD, and bioassays. * A good understanding of analytical methodologies used for synthetic molecules and peptide quantitation (acquisition, processing, and troubleshooting). * Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision to conduct experiments, as well as interpret, document, and communicate results. * Ability to balance generating high quality data within a standardized, streamlined, and high-throughput environment. * Ability to work effectively with team members in a dynamic environment, self-motivate, multitask, meet frequent tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. | |
