General Summary

Boston Children's Audiology Department is looking for an Audiologist II to join a team of more than 40 audiologists who specialize in caring for children with hearing differences. This role will involve working at Boston Children's Longwood and Franciscan Children's Hospital, collaborating with various teams, including research. Applicants must be proficient in ABR testing of complex pediatric patients and familiar with the research process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weekly consults/ABR testing of inpatients at Franciscan Children's Hospital.
  • Audiological testing of research patients in gene therapy trials.
  • Pediatric audiological assessments and diagnosis.
  • Physicians and allied health clinicians' collaboration.
  • Patients, families, and healthcare provider education
Minimum Requirements

Education:
  • Doctoral degree in Audiology or Hearing Science from an accredited program.
Experience:
  • Minimum 4 years pediatric audiology experience required.
  • Proficiency in ABR testing of complex pediatric patients and familiar with the research process.
  • Knowledge of pediatric audiologic disorders (e.g., otitis media, Eustachian tube dysfunction, genetic hearing loss).
Licensure / Certifications:
  • CCC-A (ASHA) or Pediatric Audiology Certification (American Board of Audiology). - Massachusetts Audiology license required (out-of-state candidates must obtain within 45 days).
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
