Job Summary
Leveraging approved course content, the Registered Nurse (RN) instructor partners with the nurse educator(s) to facilitate learning and development for nursing and other healthcare personnel along Benner's Theory of Novice to Expert.
Essential Functions
  • In collaboration with the nurse educator (s), facilitates and actively instructs course content as designed by nursing practice and development and/or other professional organizations such as American Heart Association or the Emergency Nurses Association
  • Utilizes principals of adult education to ensure learning by class participants. Evaluates learner understanding based upon defined criteria
  • Provides remediation of learners as needed
  • Completes mandatory trainings and self-learning modules as assigned
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Nursing
  • Preferred Education and/or program development
  • 1 year of relevant experience 1-year minimal clinical experience related to areas of focus Required
  • Experience and/or ability to facilitate courses under the direction of the nursing practice and development team. Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Specialty certification as required to facilitate the respective courses Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association Specialty certification as required to facilitate the respective courses Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Specialty certification as required to facilitate the respective courses Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Specialty certification as required to facilitate the respective courses Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Specialty certification as required to facilitate the respective courses Upon Hire required
