What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a Senior Construction Inspectors to join our Construction Services team in the New Carrollton area! This position will be onsite with the client and also is a nightshift role

What you'll be challenged to do:

Inspect all phases of construction on highway construction and maintenance projects. The Inspector oversees, monitors and independently inspects routine Railroad, Amtrak and/or WMATA update inspection. Measures, tests, and checks materials, methods, and installations to ensure contractor conformance with plans, specifications, and contract documents. Documents contractor progress on a daily basis, inputs data into automated software systems, and generates reports and correspondence.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Good communication skills
  • Prepare Daily Reports
  • Monitor Quality Control Testing
  • Measure Quantities for payments
  • Monitor Contractor Schedules
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • 10-15 years of construction experience
  • High school graduate/GED
  • Valid driver's license

What we prefer you bring:

  • Amtrak and/or WMATA station update inspection a plus
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $140,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
