Description A Brief Overview

The Peds Cath Lab Coordiantor is responsible for supporting the administrative aspects of the Peds Cardiac Cath and EP Programs as well as coordinate all activities of the cath and EP teams. This individual will interact with patients and families, physicians, residents, nurses and other hospital and administrative staff on a regular basis to support the program. They will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating all cath and EP cases in the lab.

What You Will Do

  • Will serve as laison for the Peds Cath and EP programs. Responsible to triage all incoming calls to the cath and EP programs.
  • Provides administrative support to the Director of Interventional Cath and Director of EP programs and department as well as perform general office duties for the Directors.
  • Coordinates Cath/EP Lab outreach programs.
  • Coordiantes and maintains appropriate records for the Cath and EP program.
  • Oversees the revenue cycle process.
  • Schedules and coordiantes all procedures in the Cath and EP labs. Coordinates procedures with anesthesia, surgery, product reps and other departments as needed.
  • Corrdiantes monthly meetings within the Cath and EP labs as well as meetings with departments outside of Rainbow.
  • Responsible for billing of cath and EP procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
