This11-week summer internship is designed forseniorundergraduate, Master's, or PhD studentsin Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics,Engineering,or related fieldswith advanced mathematical,statistical, and computationaltrainingseeking exposure to a professional, corporate environment. The internship is project-based, with each intern assigned one clearly defined project aligned to theBiostatisticsdepartment's priorities.

As an intern in the AI Innovations Institute, you will work alongside our expert team to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence and pharmaceutical sciences. This program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in applying AI techniques to solve real-world problems in this space.

The AI Agents Intern role will be focused on contributing to the development of our internal AI Agents platform. You will find yourself developing features for the platform, testing and deploying more recent LLM models, or developing an AI Agent for an organization within the company.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and implement AI Agent frameworks
  • Participate in the team's software engineering development cycle
  • Contribute to the improvement of the platform's functionalities

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Graduates in medical and pharmacy schools can be considered if they are willing to complete a programming course with Python prior to starting the internship.
  • Basic foundational knowledge in software development principles, programming languages, and software engineering methodologies. Candidates can also complete at least an introductory course in software development prior to starting the internship.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript. Candidates can also complete a Python programming course prior to starting the internship.
  • Interest in and experience working with Large Language Models is a plus.
  • A keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare technology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
