As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, support access control, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining logs for visitors and deliveries, and directing traffic flow for trucks and employees.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems; identify unusual activity and report observations per post orders to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fires, equipment alarms, and workplace disputes; coordinate notifications with site contacts and public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, yards, and perimeter fencing; document findings, complete shift reports, and report maintenance or hazard concerns through the established process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An EMT Certification is required.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
