Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to design, implement, and support hybrid-cloud infrastructure at the IL7 level. This role requires expertise in cloud provisioning, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient environments that meet customer and program needs.

As a Mid Level Cloud Architect your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, build, and oversee multi-cloud strategies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

  • Define and implement network topologies, connectivity solutions, and service integrations.

  • Evaluate and balance tradeoffs between cost, performance, and resilience.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural governance to engineering teams.

  • Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security, compliance, and operational standards.

  • Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies

  • Define network topologies, connectivity, and service integrations.

  • Balance cost, performance, and resilience tradeoffs.

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural governance.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or a similar role.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • Secure Systems Engineering: Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining systems in highly regulated environments, such as DoD IL5/IL6, FedRAMP High, or comparable air-gapped networks.

  • Secure Cloud Implementation: Proven expertise managing secure cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Google Cloud, including secure networking (VPCs/VNETs, routing, boundary protection) and identity management (IAM, Privileged Access Management).

  • Automation & Security as Code: Hands-on experience using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning and configuration, incorporating security controls such as encryption, logging, and STIG compliance directly in code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field.

  • Experience designing and implementing Zero Trust (ZT) architectures.

  • Experience with secure cloud connectivity (AWS TS Region, Azure PLx).

  • Experience with VDI deployments (Azure AVD, AWS Workspaces).

  • Experience with Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC).

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMWare VCP, CISSP).

  • Experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military officials at operational and strategic levels.

Salary Range - Colorado:$120,000-150,000
The salary range information is a general guideline only.
