NC State Dining is looking for enthusiastic individuals to Join our Pack as a temporary
Barista. Whether you are looking to sharpen your craft or jumpstart a career in hospitality, we offer meaningful employment opportunities across our retail and dining units.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include:
Craft Quality Beverages: Prepare espresso-based beverages, shakes, smoothies, and other drinks while adhering to brand standards and health guidelines. Exceptional Guest Experience: Provide friendly, efficient service, and resolve customer concerns to the best of your ability. Communicate professionally with supervisors, peers, and guests. Technical Operation: Operate the micros system (point of sale) and process transactions accurately per university policy. Safety First: Maintain temperature and sanitation to ensure food safety, and ensure allergen safety protocols are followed. Other Duties: Receive and stock store merchandise, perform opening and closing duties of the unit, and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

This is an hourly position with a 10-11 month assignment with a State mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months.
NC State Dining provides campus wide food services to students, staff, and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 11 cafes, 3 food courts and 6 dining halls, 3 markets, 2 restaurants, vending, a nutritional counseling service, and a catering department. The department employs approximately 1000 temporary and student employees and approximately 190 permanent
EPS and
SHRA employees. |

- Be an ambassador for NC State Dining and the university as a whole and enrich the quality of life for the campus community and support student success.
- Work as a cohesive team member and play an integral part in creating a positive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining's business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.
- Contribute to maintaining Grade A sanitation rating of 95% or better

| Minimum Experience/Education |
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.
