Position Overview

The Director of Technology will lead the strategy and execution to design and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, leads, and advises the technical activities of a process development operation
  • Manages technology engagement with customer to use broad and comprehensive expertise in leading-edge theories, techniques, and technologies with goal of identifying customer's most critical problems across a wide spectrum of integration issues for multiple technology nodes
  • Internally, engages closely with impacted Business Units and product Factories to develop plans and drive solutions for customer's most critical problems with goal of being selected as the preferred equipment supplier for customers' process steps
  • Builds and grows highly effective relationships with key customer technologists and managers in the customer's process development organization
  • Develops and maintains customer device integration roadmaps and application matrices for technology nodes and drives Business Unit alignment to meet customer requirements for critical problems
  • Plans and coordinates regularly scheduled Technology Review Meetings (TRMs) or similar meetings with the customer and internal stakeholders
  • Provides executive level technology updates at external and internal technology reviews
  • Supports customer facing sales and service teams to develop technology-related material used at internal quarterly and annual reviews with regional executives and global executives up to the CEO level
  • Provides internal technology support and expertise with the goal to ensure that internal long-term product development and competitiveness targets are achieved

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of related experience; or Master's Degree with 10 years of related experience; or Associate's Degree with 16 years of related experience; or 20 years of experience in lieu of relevant degree. PhD in relevant technical field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

  • The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
