Visiting Asst Professor - Motor Control and Position Learning 43749BR Kinesiology and Sport Management Position Description The Department of Kinesiology & Sport Management in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Visiting Professor in Motor Control and Learning position to begin September 1, 2026. While appointed to this position, you will accrue vacation and will be required to report leave monthly following TTU's Operating Policy 70.01 and TTU System Regulation 07.12. About the College Founded in 1925 as one of the university's four original colleges, the College of Arts & Sciences is comprised of 15 departments, offering a wide variety of courses and programs in the humanities, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, physical sciences, and natural sciences. About the Department/School/Area The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management offers a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Kinesiology for over 1,300 undergraduate and 40 graduate students, respectively. The department enrolls over 400 undergraduate students in the B.S. in Sport Management and over 100 master's degree students in the M.S. in Sport Management. It also offers a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. Its building includes six classrooms, a student computer lab, fourteen research labs, and faculty offices. Major/Essential Functions At Texas Tech University, the Visiting Professor title designates a full-time, non-tenure-acquiring position of a limited duration, usually one semester or academic year. Visiting faculty are expected to perform instructional duties, engage with students, and participate in unit-level meetings and business. In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a dynamic student body, applicants should have experience working with a breadth of student populations at the undergraduate level.
