Strongbridge, LLC has a great opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer supporting an Engineering team as a part of a large, complex cybersecurity, engineering, and PMO contract for a federal customer, providing expertise in systems engineering solutions and services across a variety of platforms and technology. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and resolve configuration and application issues on Microsoft Windows client systems (Windows 10 and above) in Enterprise and stand- alone environments; applies patches and scans stand-alone workstations. In addition, the Systems Engineer Level III will provide technical support to solutioning engineer and engineering-related projects.

In-office Requirement: 2 days/week onsite in DC.

Pay Range: $100k - $125k

Responsibilities:



  • Works in tandem with Cybersecurity and O&M stakeholders to solution, resolve and drive technology and IT modernization initiatives
  • Enforces configuration and security standards. Analyzes and modifies Active Directory Group Policy Objects and User and Computer Objects.
  • Supports mobile solutions, such as, but not limited to Microsoft Exchange (Active Sync), Office 365, Mobile Device Management (MDM) such as AirWatch, JAMF Casper, with alternative token technology (i.e.-Derived Credentials).
  • Supports messaging chat systems such Microsoft Teams.
  • Collaboration software such as SharePoint, application-based firewall and proxy server(s), and operating systems.
  • Communicate with clients and business partners aspects of implementation at the technical and/or functional level, appropriate for the situation.
  • Prepare written reports identifying issues and recommendations to remedy issues.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited institution.
  • 15+ years performing systems engineering
  • MCSE certification AND either VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
  • Possesses general networking experience: strong understanding of basic networking concepts (VLANs, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure Active Directory, LDAP, DB, UNIX/Linux, AWS.
  • Ability to provide Layer 1 networking support (i.e., physical cabling, fiber).
  • Experience providing onsite data center support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Possesses solid understand of Linux (administration & implementation and maintenance & design)- preferred.
  • Self-driven and have an inherent interest in continuing to learn new technologies to collaboratively solve problems.
  • US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust.
  • In-office Requirement: 2 days/week onsite in DC.
  • Preferred: Current DHS EOD or previous experience supporting a DHS Component.



Pay Range: $100k - $125k

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
