We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to lead a team of Dispatch Agents responsible for performance across P&D, drayage, and line-haul operations. This role is based at our Chicago, IL facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, prioritize, and allocate day-to-day operational activities.
  • Coach and mentor team members and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure comprehensive training for new employees and assign qualified personnel to support ongoing training. Maintain and update the dispatch office policy and SOP manuals.
  • Ensure pickup and delivery requests are dispatched promptly and professionally to drivers and vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of PODs and all related pickup/delivery timestamps.
  • Manage driver communications, route-related issues, and call volume; escalate or adjust operational plans as appropriate.
  • Continuously monitor vendor performance and develop improvement plans when necessary.
  • Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost savings.
  • Proactively manage and align with customer expectations.
  • Uphold and promote our Safety First culture at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations.
  • Strong negotiation, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a Collective Bargaining Unit environment preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Pay Range: $68,722.50 - $91,630.00+ (Based on Experience)
