Microsoft has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Cloud+AI Microsoft Specialized Clouds team. This team is responsible for deploying and operating services, including the infrastructure that supports collaboration and mission critical workloads. The work directly contributes to Microsoft's sovereign cloud capabilities, ensuring platforms can operate independently when required while remaining aligned with the core Azure ecosystem.

As a Software Engineer, you will design, implement, test, and maintain software components that power cloud scale services. You will work closely with senior engineers, architects, and program managers to deliver features end to end, contribute to code reviews, and help ensure high quality, reliability, and performance in production systems. You will learn to operate services responsibly by participating in on call rotations and supporting live site operations with guidance from experienced teammates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.

These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer ScienceOR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
