Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $48,983 - $64,89.56. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Custom Engineer Support Specialist!

The Custom Engineering Support Specialist plays an important role in supporting a team of Engineers and designers by preparing engineering documents that will be used in the design process. The Custom Engineering Support Specialist reviews incoming and outgoing design requests and change orders, ensuring they are accurate and contain all the information that engineering requires for the design process. Completed designs are reviewed and checked for completeness and prepared to be sent to the customer.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Coordinate incoming design requests by working with product specialists, engineers, designers, and leadership, and ensure the timely progression of new orders.

* Review and interpret design requests for complete product information. Submit information requests and follow up.

* Utilize Engineering PDM (Product Data Management) software to update bills of materials and descriptions to customers' custom specifications.

* Review engineering documents for missing or incorrect information. Request any updates from engineering.

* Update and distribute engineering KPI metrics and visual controls.

* Create and update standard work documents for workflow, design guidelines, and SharePoint sites.

* Release orders for distribution to internal and external customers.

* Create and distribute weekly and monthly engineering metrics.

* Update Oracle and Microsoft Access databases with customer information and dates.

* Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

* Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.

* Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Required
* Associate's degree in an applicable field or relevant experience.
* Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, adjusting communication approaches based on the audience.

* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to deadlines.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.

* Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to identify potential issues and seek support for resolution.

* Ability to work in manufacturing and assembly environments.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. Must be able to manipulate data and analyze reports using both Power BI and Excel.

Preferred
* Experience with Oracle.

* Experience with Microsoft Access

* Ability to read manufacturing prints.

* Experience with a PDM (Product Data Management) system such as 3DX.
