| Position Summary |
The
FMD Professional Development & Organizational Communications Coordinator plays a key role in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of training. Through training needs assessment, this position will advise and help design professional development/trainings based on departmental needs. The Coordinator will also work with the
FMD leadership to develop professional development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and competencies. This position will serve as FMD's UGA's Professional Education Portal (
PEP) Project Manager and Learning Administrator. The Coordinator will maintain training records and facilitate organization-wide needed trainings. In addition, the position will assist with the coordination of
FMD internal communications to ensure that information is effectively distributed throughout the organization. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator, or similar role
- Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
- Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
- Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
- MS Office proficiency
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments

Training/Professional Development Programing
- Perform assessment to determine organization and/or departmental training needs and determine the appropriate learning platform to optimize training experience
- Evaluate current professional development/training on regular basis to ensure all information is current and relevant
- Develop training schedules accross the Division including annual and/or bi-annual refreshers
- Collaborate regularly with FMD Safety Manager to develop, maintain, and update safety training
- Develop safety onboarding program tailored to specific skilled trades across Division
- Assess professional development/training effectiveness
- Facilitate new hire orientations

- Manage content displayed on informational kiosks with guidance from the PRM

- Regularly assess effectiveness of internal communications and develop communications strategies
