Job Overview

Our Precision & Science Technologies business segment is investing heavily in Life Sciences as a key growth engine-and we're looking for an Accountant who's excited to grow with us. Step into an opportunity within our Life Science Technologies (LST) division and gain exposure to a dynamic, global finance organization. This role offers hands-on experience across a variety of general accounting activities, providing the opportunity to build a strong foundation while supporting multiple business units, partnering closely with AP and AR teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across sites and countries.

You'll be directly involved in core accounting activities such as bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations, and play an active role in month-end close. As you gain confidence, you'll also have opportunity to work across multiple ERP systems and help drive process improvements across the organization-a great way to expand your technical and analytical skill set. Responsibilities


  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly close in accordance with US GAAP.


  • Prepare and review journal entries, including cash activity, intercompany transactions, and monthly expense accruals.


  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring clear understanding of account activity and proper supporting documentation; collaborate with teams across multiple global locations as needed.


  • Analyze account balances and trends to provide actionable insights to business leaders and to identify potential issues.


  • Evaluate existing processes, recommending and supporting improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.


  • Share knowledge and best practices within the accounting team and across the broader LST organization.


  • Prepares various monthly, quarterly and annual information requests to satisfy Corporate, Audit and Tax reporting requirements, assisting other departments with accounting issues and data requirements


  • Ensure compliance with Ingersoll Rand financial policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.





Requirements:

  • Bachelor
    's degree

  • 1+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • 1+ years experience working with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferences:

  • Degree concentration: Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment


  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint


  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing operations.


  • Experience with APP software or similar cost accounting tools.


  • Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA).



Travel & Work Arrangements


  • Based in Davidson, NC with a hybrid work schedule
