As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor designated areas, entrances, and/or key points to help maintain orderly operations, reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and/or direction to building occupants as needed.
  • Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and/or shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
