$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

The Lead Guidewire Business/Technical Analyst will lead Classic system migration completion as well as lead or support other Guidewire applications such as Policy, Billing and Claims in the future. You will collect requirements and convert them into technical documentation for teams to consume. You will be a key contributor in influencing the business and technical analysis process across the entire enterprise. You will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will lead Guidewire system upgrades, supporting AmFam's goal to retire legacy systems and streamline operations.
  • You will ensure Guidewire delivers seamless, modern customer experiences aligned with AmFam's digital strategy.
  • You will optimize Guidewire for advanced analytics and AI, helping achieve predictive and preventive capabilities.
  • You will configure Guidewire to support new products and bundling, fueling customer-driven growth.
  • You will leverage Guidewire's flexibility for rapid product launches and process changes, supporting AmFam's innovation goals.
  • You will work with the appropriate teams to develop product requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis.
  • You will proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements while delivering required project artifacts.
  • You will identify process gaps and work with stakeholders to mitigate and solve for; understand project impacts across lines of business.
  • You will clearly and concisely communicate verbal and written requirements and analysis output to developers, testers, and business owners.
  • You will prioritize requests to achieve best results and meet goals and coordinate with program and project management.
  • You will contribute to defining technical solutions that meet delivery objectives.
  • You will run metrics and analyze data using data analysis tools.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • Property & Casualty Insurance domain knowledge and experience
  • Guidewire Cloud application expertise and certifications
  • Business and technical analysis and requirement elicitation experience
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with experience of working under pressure with precision and accuracy.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and cope with rapidly changing priorities and a continual backlog of work.
  • Travel requirements up to 10%.
