Essential Duties:



  • Based on the MPS driven demand or Backlog Orders, selects and sequences available jobs to be run on the shop floor - taking into account the DPAS ratings on orders where applicable
  • Meets weekly with Integrated Program Teams to review all pending and recently received demands
  • Manages overall workload of the shop and align resources as needed to maintain balance (Where App)
  • Drives improvement of current planning systems, functions and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
  • Maintains manufacturing build plans on a daily basis to meet the delivery schedules
  • Creates and maintains the expected completion of each scheduled job
  • Reviews the schedule and ensures the raw materials are available when required
  • Creates and manages a forward-looking plan in ERP system to generate purchase requisitions
  • Monitor material deliveries to support the run schedules
  • Ensures all outside services are planned and monitored
  • Consolidates demand for purchase requisitions
  • Highlights critical parts and any issue, which may keep operations from meeting the MPS


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Operations or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) plus years of extensive experience in production planning (defense procurement highly preferred) with strong background in project material management and a strong understanding of MRP systems, SAP desired
