Business Development DSV - Global transport and logistics Location: Atlanta, GA Division: Road US Summary At DSV Road, the Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving profitable growth by acquiring new customers, reactivating dormant accounts, and developing early-stage relationships within the small and mid-sized customer segment. This role manages a high-volume sales pipeline and converts leads to active customers using primarily phone, email, and CRM-driven outreach. The position focuses on fast response times, disciplined follow-up, and consistent onboarding to establish long-term customer value. The Business Development Specialist works closely with Pricing, Operations, and Sales Support teams to develop service solutions and ensure successful customer onboarding. Physical Demands The position primarily involves sedentary office work requiring extended periods of sitting and frequent computer and telephone use. The employee must be able to type, read from a screen, and communicate effectively through phone and virtual communication platforms throughout the workday. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting of light office materials up to approximately 15 pounds may be required. The role may also require periodic travel to customer locations, meetings, or company sites, including travel by car and occasional air travel. Work Environment This position operates in a professional office or remote office environment and involves frequent use of computers, headsets, and communication technology. The role requires daily interaction with internal teams and external customers through phone, email, and virtual platforms in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting. For this position, the expected base pay range is $55,000 - $68,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
