Job Overview:

The Director, Recovery Support Services, is responsible for the leadership, development, and oversight of the Peer Recovery Program. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and person-centered peer services across sites. The Director manages day-to-day operations, supervises a team of managers, ensures programmatic and clinical integrity, and advances program growth in alignment with agency strategy and funding opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of peer-led models and demonstrated leadership in program implementation, staff development, and community engagement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Strong knowledge of recovery models
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in staff supervision, program development, and cross-sector collaboration
  • Demonstrated experience working in substance use services, peer support programming, or recovery-oriented systems of care
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development/training, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias

Preferred:

  • Master's degree

Scheduling Requirements:

Essential Functions:

  • Manage budget
  • Develop referral workflows
  • Facilitate monthly meetings
  • Train staff on new best practices
  • Ensure an effective transitional care mode
  • Implement updated data collection procedures
  • Directly supervise Peer Recovery Program Managers
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on employee experience
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local funding sources
  • Provide leadership and operational management of the Peer Recovery Program
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, documentation compliance, and service quality
  • Monitor program performance through key metrics, reporting dashboards, and outcome tracking
  • Ensure that administrative and clinical support supervision work in tandem to support employees
  • Ensure services are delivered in alignment with peer ethics, state regulations, and organizational policies
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans to address identified challenges and strengthen outcomes
  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure service coordination and integration within the broader continuum of care
  • Develop and maintain program protocols and workflows to support timely, effective, and compassionate service delivery
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships, program expansion, and grant funding aligned with organizational mission and community needs
  • Develop relationships with community-based organizations that provide recovery support services, including mobile health units, recovery housing networks, recovery support centers, and local organizations supporting social care needs
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
