Upfit Technician II Coordinator

About the Role:

As a Upfit Technician Coordinator , you are tasked to work on a variety of different components. Activities include, but are not limited to, ordering parts, tracking down shipments, making sure the team have the parts that they need.

Your Profile:

• Advanced mechanical and 12v electrical skills with welding experience
• Truck body or equipment manufacturing repair and ability to troubleshoot / problem solve with minimal supervision
• Capability to work off scaffolding up ten to twelve feet.
• Must have a current driver's license.

Shift: First Monday through Friday

Your Responsibilities:

• To perform a variety of semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions.
• To adhere to and enforce the general safety plan.
• May be required to do other duties as requested.
• Primary job duty is safety of the team, the quality of the product, and the overall production goals.
• Ensures work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice.
• Supervised by supervisor, general foreman, manager or department head.
• Good attendance is critical, and coordinator is required to report all absences directly to supervisor.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime.
• Work towards and for a OneWabash.
• Training of new employees on safety and responsibilities thereof.

Physical Demands:

• Requires minimum of 5 hours standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, with a full range of body mechanics/movements
• Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of stairs and climbing in and out of trucks or working in tight spaces.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)
