Position Summary The Parker Engineering Internship Program focuses on the development of new talent by exposing interns to the dynamic and challenging field of product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and operations. Interns will gain experience in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing challenges using traditional problem-solving tools, analysis methods, analytical evaluation, and hands-on validation. We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our team at the Hydraulic Pump & Motor Division (HPM) Greeneville, TN location! The Engineering Intern's projects are hands-on and will focus on both daily challenges and long-term improvement projects on products, components and processes. You will walk away from this internship with a better understanding of how to analyze a problem, provide potential solutions, implement changes, and validate those changes. Various methods will be used to determine potential design changes or improvements, and ultimately how to apply and validate those changes using data driven decisions. You will also get to experience the day-to-day workings of an engineering department that is integral to the success of one of the largest manufacturing facilities within Parker Hannifin.
