Location: Territory includes the Southeast U.S., extending from Virginia to Florida and west to Louisiana. Candidates should be located in Atlanta, GA or a central point within the Southeast.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $130,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

The AcoustiBuilt Installation System Sales Manager is responsible for driving specification, tracking opportunities, closing projects, and delivering installation training for all AcoustiBuilt projects across the Southeastern United States. This role develops and sustains business growth for Armstrong ceiling systems, suspension systems, and grid systems by working closely with architects, contractors, owners, and distribution partners.

In addition to sales leadership, this role serves as the technical expert for AcoustiBuilt solutions-providing installation guidance, field support, and contractor training to ensure exceptional project execution and finished results.

What You'll Do

  • Specify, track, and close AcoustiBuilt opportunities throughout the territory
  • Serve as the AcoustiBuilt subject matter expert for internal teams and external customers
  • Ensure all AcoustiBuilt installations meet performance and aesthetic standards
  • Analyze installation challenges and develop effective technical solutions
  • Drive project specifications by identifying and addressing customer needs
  • Develop architectural details and shop drawings for architects and customers
  • Convert competitive specifications through informed product positioning
  • Promote integration opportunities with FrameAll and Axiom systems
  • Maintain accurate and current project data in Salesforce (SFDC), including pipeline, contacts, and commentary
  • Conduct CEU presentations and collaborate with architects to secure specifications
  • Gather and report Voice of the Customer insights
  • Partner with marketing to identify photography opportunities and secure release approvals
  • Build strong relationships to identify new opportunities and resolve challenges
  • Review construction documents and regularly visit job sites
  • Collaborate with contractors to troubleshoot issues and provide hands-on training for AWI systems
  • Partner with Regional Sales Representatives, ISS, and ISSM teams to drive coordinated project execution
  • Investigate claims and complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, including carpentry and hands-on installation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse customer groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility to transition between field training and consultative sales engagements
  • Ability to demonstrate proper installation techniques, including grid/panel installation, joint compound application and finishing, surface inspection, and spray finishing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, estimating, or commercial construction
  • Ability to safely navigate job sites, including climbing scaffolding and operating tools or equipment
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Background in ceiling installation, drywall systems, or building products
  • Field measurement experience
