This role will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of processes, training materials and content for the manufacturing training system. This role has leadership accountability for processes related to training effectiveness, including gathering and analyzing data, as well as reporting of metrics and key performance indicators associated with manufacturing training. The person in this role will provide informal coaching and guidance to mentors and certified trainers as to the effective daily execution of training delivery, for new hire and cross-training activities in a production environment.

What You Do.



  • Advocates and supports the direction, focus areas, and tactics of the Manufacturing Learning Strategy.
  • Directs the coordination and communication of all facets of production new hire and employee cross-training programs and processes, across all shifts and affected audiences, which may include plant managers, production managers & supervisors, personnel schedulers, certified designated trainers, and training mentors.
  • Monitors and evaluates training within the manufacturing environment, to identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness that can be achieved through training process changes or content revisions; consults with plant managers and supervisors to continually assess training needs and develops new programs, content, or methods to address those needs.
  • Evaluates, prioritizes, creates and implements manufacturing training materials and content, for new hire and cross-training programs, aligned to delivery methods and content standards for production training and digital training systems.
  • Coaches and guides manufacturing mentors and trainers, on aspects related to job performance and training delivery.
  • Partners with manager to identify, select, and train certified designated trainers.
  • Collaborates with manager to identify potential skill gaps and development opportunities for certified designated trainers; may create, promote, and/or facilitate ongoing trainer skill development, to improve awareness and application of best practices.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports data, metrics, and KPI's related to training effectiveness and results, at a regular cadence/interval for a designated plant.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and models exemplary leadership behaviors at all times.
  • Flexibility in scheduled work hours, to meet needs as they may arise across all shifts, which may require occasionally working hours on 2ndor 3rd.


Your Education and Experience.



  • Associate's degree from two-year college; and at least three years with hands on experience with training others on-the-job, or other training or manufacturing supervision experience is required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Familiarity in general with ERP systems (SAP), learning management system(s), and digital training system software, or the technical ability to quickly learn these tools.
