The CT
Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including diagnostic CT
scans, post-processing and image archival, while ensuring patient safety and
comfort. Responsibilities include administering IV contrast under physician
supervision, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining equipment
and supply levels according to protocols and safety standards. The technologist
must demonstrate proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, sterile technique,
radiation safety, patient assessment and documentation, while also
participating in on-call, weekend, and rotating shifts. The technologist must
follow departmental policies, maintain equipment and uphold
certification/licensure requirements. You will be required to rotate to all
radiology sites staffed by UCLA Health.

career ladder level*

Salary: $52.22 - $68.84 Hourly

Qualifications

  • CRT Radiography
    - required
  • ARRT (R) - required
  • ARRT (CT) licensure - required
  • Venipuncture certificate - required
  • Radiologic Technologist Program Graduate - required
  • BLS/CPR certification from American Heart
    Association or American Red Cross - required
  • A minimum of 3 years of CT experience - highly
    desired and preferred
  • Associate degree, Bachelor's degree - preferred
  • Ability to distinguish between types of medical
    procedures and diagnoses
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal,
    prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of medical and scientific terminology
  • Strong detail and deadline orientation
  • Understanding of human anatomy and pathology
