Technical Quote Specialist I

    Summary:

    This role is responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive RFQ packages to support material and labor quoting of customer requirements The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and technically proficient in order to bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and materials. Responsible for understanding technical specifications and structured BOMs to ensure timely and precise quoting that supports business growth and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze customer quote packages, technical drawings, and specifications to develop an accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for quote with all supporting documentation
    • Review proposal packages for completeness and interface with responsible functional groups to facilitate receipt of missing documentation/information
    • Communicate with responsible functional groups to clarify requirements and provide technical support during the quoting process
    • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather necessary data for cost analysis
    • Perform analysis of quote data and deliver periodic status reports and time commitments
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer requirements

    Qualifications

    • +2 years of experience in quoting, document configuration, or technical sales support
    • Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and EMS manufacturing processes
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Effective interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner
    • Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
    • Ability to demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, good judgment and professionalism when representing the company
    • Ability to work well as an individual or on teams
    • Require moderate supervision for completion of tasks
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various functional groups
    • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, including day and overnight travel as required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and pricing strategies
    • EMS production experience
    • Ability to documents processes and lead continuous improvement activities

    Abilities

    • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
    • Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
    • Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, and reason
    • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds 5% or less of the workday
    • Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday

      Education: High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years experience in quoting, document configuration or technical sales support.
