Responsibilities

Job Summary: This position will work under the Process Owner team to assist with standardizing and improving Wax Injection and other wax processes, which will lead to high product yields and improved process control.

Essential Functions:

Primary wax injection trainer for operators, working jointly with wax leadership team.

  • Provide set-up assistance for operators, as needed.
  • Assist with driving standardized process for wax injection and related wax processes.
  • Investigate/troubleshoot poor pattern quality and scrap, die concerns, or injection press issues and elevate to help chain, as needed: Wax PO, leadership, maintenance, and toolroom.
  • Perform trials and evaluations under the direction of the Process Owner.
  • Maintain injection process sheets on file and modify die setup cards.
  • Owner of the employee training matrix for injection (working with wax leadership).
  • Perform audits in wax department to check for compliance and to reduce scrap and rework.

  • Support preventative maintenance on machines and dies.
  • Advocate for die safety and equipment safety.
  • Assist troubleshooting of Digital Radiography system. Perform over-inspect audits for x-ray.

  • Monitor and audit the core reclaim dewax process.

Qualifications

Education: H.S. degree or GED required. Some college is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Flexibility to work off-shift hours and weekends for occasional training or technical support.

  • Ability to communicate with shop floor and management personnel.
  • Ability to organize, manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Able to work in a self-directed or team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Forward thinker - must have the ability to innovate when the opportunity is presented.
  • Experience with MS Office Word and working knowledge of Excel is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical process control and/or Lean Manufacturing preferred.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Injection experience is preferred.
  • Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
