Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Learning & Development Specialist to join our corporate team.

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for independently executing and managing day-to-day learning programs and platforms that support employee development, compliance, onboarding, and manager capability. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with ownership of learning content, LMS administration, and program delivery. This role also supports the execution and coordination of Pavion's leadership development initiatives, including Pavion Elevate, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience. The Specialist operates with a high degree of autonomy, partnering with HR and business leaders while proactively using existing tools and resources to deliver effective learning solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Learning Content Development & Delivery



  • Develop, design, and maintain HR-related training content and materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, learning aids, and assessments
  • Proactively collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), managers, and HR partners to identify learning needs and translate them into practical training solutions
  • Deliver training sessions as needed, including new hire orientation, compliance training, and ongoing professional development programs


Learning Platforms, LMS & Content Deployment



  • Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, enrollment, tracking, and reporting
  • Build and maintain structured learning journeys within the LMS (e.g., new hire, compliance, manager development, role-based learning)
  • Curate, deploy, and maintain vendor-provided learning content (e.g., Skillsoft) to support enterprise learning needs
  • Create and load custom e-learning content using authoring tools such as iSpring or similar platforms


Training Coordination & Program Support



  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule a variety of internal training programs and learning events with minimal supervision
  • Coordinate and support Pavion Elevate, the company's leadership development program, including session logistics, content deployment, participant communications, tracking, and reporting
  • Support the facilitation of external workshops and seminars, including logistics, materials, and learner tracking
  • Provide operational support for enterprise learning initiatives, including leadership and manager development programs


Compliance, Tracking & Continuous Improvement



  • Ensure training and certification programs align with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation within the LMS and related systems
  • Monitor and report on training participation, completion rates, feedback, and outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve learning effectiveness, learner engagement, and overall program delivery


Stakeholder Partnership & Support



  • Serve as a trusted partner to managers by supporting employee development and soft-skills training needs
  • Partner with HR leadership and program facilitators to support leadership and manager development initiatives, including Pavion Elevate, by preparing materials, maintaining learning journeys, and ensuring timely execution
  • Provide administrative and technical support related to learning programs, including LMS user assistance and troubleshooting
  • Operate independently while consulting with HR leadership as needed for alignment and prioritization


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, or HR roles
  • Hands-on experience administering an LMS and managing learning content
  • Experience creating or deploying e-learning content


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with vendor-based learning platforms (e.g., Skillsoft or similar)
  • Experience using e-learning authoring tools (iSpring, Articulate, or similar)
  • Experience supporting onboarding, compliance training, or manager development programs
