Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Analyst, Commercial Finance role will make an impact: Analyze and review financial results and business drivers, provide variance analysis, monthly reports, ad hoc reports and plans, for NA Commercial. Serve as a finance liaison for various departments. Adapt to a continually evolving environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks both independently and as a member of a team to accomplish goals and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Assist in the development and analysis of the financial plans including Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and periodic forecasts. The position will focus on the daily operations of the group and be heavily involved in maintaining financial models, building reports and executive presentations. Key responsibilities for this role include:
Performs analytics and develops models and databases used to build monthly financial forecasts, Budgets, and Strategic Plans. A specific focus will be on new and existing product portfolios. Assist in the preparation of reporting packages and analysis of the commercial financial performance, identify and evaluate key business metrics and trends. Analyze actual versus forecasted and budgeted financial results. Provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers as required for executive reporting, project status and expense status. Gain a deep understanding of the business including key products, competitive movements, and our customers actions as well as the overall pharmaceutical industry. Develop modeling and analysis to access and challenge commercial forecasts and transfer them into a financial plan. Reviews, challenges, and analyzes product level plans. Prepare and distribute key financial reports. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used in reporting, by thoroughly analyzing conditions, trends, and facts. Build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships across the organization. Act as a resource for non-financial personnel on matters of accounting, finance and analysis. Perform various ad hoc requests on business performance and continually evaluates planning assumptions. Ensures the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of information. Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 -2 years of experience preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Must possess strong finance/accounting technical knowledge, as well as business acumen. Prior forecasting, planning and financial modeling experience is a plus. Must have advanced technical skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must decision-making capabilities and analytical skills; Must also demonstrate the ability to take initiative, respond to work demands in a flexible manner and produce timely, high quality work products. This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills and confidence sufficient to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization. Must possess excellent ability to communicate ideas and analysis effectively to influence business decisions and display confidence and maturity in dealing with all levels of the organization. Must have the skill sets to build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships. Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with groups of people such as other departments and communicate known concepts. Ability to present to a group of departments. Ability to solve equations, apply mathematical concepts, and perform computations. Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $41,000 - $93,000 USD.
