Position summary:

The utility person is responsible for supplyingBackwinding, Loading and unloadingwith creels. Assisting in Creel loading when necessary.

Educational requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Skills and experience:

Previous fork-lift experience helpful.

Essential duties:

  • Set up creels in Backwinding, Loading and Unloading as needed.

  • Ensure tuggers are charged for the day at the beginning of the day.

  • Keep tugger wheels clean of yarn.

  • Assist operators in moving Portable Creels when needed.

  • Move completed creels to the staging area.

  • Move empty creels to staging area

  • Perform all duties in a consistent way so as to produce goods of consistent quality.

  • Refer to Utility Person Work Instructions for further instruction on the processes of the duties outlined here.

  • Assist in creel loading when necessary.

  • Maintain housekeeping

  • Comply with safety rules

  • Comply with environmental regulations

  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

  • Ensure all ISO procedures are followed.

  • Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical demands:

  • Standing and walking on concrete floor for extended periods of time

Work environment:

  • Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
