Job Title: Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist Location(s): Hattiesburg, MS Job Description Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in making real-time phone calls through recorded lines to verify vehicle status with pickup sites.
- Monitor and correct master data files for location errors.
- Manage email inboxes for multiple locations and collaborate on regional communications.
- Request Hold Harmless/Release documentation.
- Process fees and post assessorial charges to records.
- Enter all manual orders and process additional AS400 system orders.
- Investigate carrier VIN kickbacks and ensure units are re-dispatched promptly.
- Manage escalated Client Success VINs with peers and agents.
- Monitor holds and verification delays.
- Negotiate dispatches and apply strong sales tactics to increase margin.
- Update AutoIMS for transportation delay holds, cancellations, and ETAs.
- Follow up daily with carriers on multiple VINs.
- Hold carriers accountable to agreed transportation plans.
- Create and manage vendor corrective action plans.
- Monitor order entry failures throughout the day and resolve issues.
- Understand margin relative to position and track margin requirements.
- Build relationships with auction commercial teams and management.
- Measure performance by analyzing client and vendor analytics.
- Report performance results to senior and executive leadership.
- Compile transportation-related vehicle data and generate reports.
- Perform additional job-related duties as directed by supervisor.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure.
Job Requirements Required:
- 1-3 years of administrative experience (automotive industry preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work independently within a matrixed environment to execute and deliver results.
- Excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail with precise data entry capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background check and drug test.
Preferred:
- Some college education.
- 1+ year of experience in transportation or automotive auction operations.
- 1+ year of experience in sales or call center environments.
Work Location This position may be based at any regional automotive auction market location within the assigned territory, including major metropolitan areas across Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kansas, Virginia, Alabama, and South Carolina.
