SUMMARY

Garage attendant will be responsible for various duties pertinent to parking garage and parking lot operation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The parking garage attendant may be assigned to several locations as part of a rotation routine. (Court House Plaza Garage, Norristown-Montgomery County Garage, DeKalb Street Plaza). The attendant will be responsible at any given time for on-time opening of the facility and closing and securing of the premises.
  • May be responsible for the proper collection and handling of any daily funds.
  • The Parking Garage Attendant fulfills any duties as directed by the Parking Facilities Manager.
  • The attendant must tour the facility and report any unsolvable issues to the parking supervisor.
  • Should there be any problems with the physical property, such as graffiti, inoperable elevator, leaks, vehicles illegally stored overnight, etc., the attendant must note all this information and report to his supervisor.
  • Parking garage personnel will receive any designated assignment from supervisors.
  • Individual is required to be familiar and follow guidelines for the utilization of safety equipment for operating vehicles, trucks, sweepers, power tools, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of mechanical repairs.
  • Customer Service.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance.
  • Completion of safety training required.
  • Basic knowledge of the use of tools.

The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Ability to work in hot/cold/wet weather conditions. Exposure to high levels of equipment noise.
