How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is adiverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Natural Gas Field Mechanical Technicians, you will operate and maintain a proprietary robotic system called CISBOT, an innovative technology designed to perform critical repairs from within buried natural gas pipelines. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor utility construction environment alongside talented professionals while contributing to methane leak reduction and supporting a cleaner, more sustainable energy infrastructure. ULC provides comprehensive training on our proprietary robotic platform and all components of the field repair process. Technicians gain hands-on experience with advanced mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems while developing specialized expertise in robotic pipeline rehabilitation. Many of our successful field technicians come from diverse backgrounds, including automotive repair, plumbing, construction, HVAC, manufacturing, and related skilled trades. Candidates who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and working outdoors in a team-oriented environment will thrive in this role.
