Registered Nurse- Med/Tele(FT)

Unit: Med/Tele | 22 Beds | 6:1 Ratio

Unit Overview:

Our Med/Tele unit cares for a diverse patient population, including postoperative patients with chest tubes or surgical drains, individuals requiring peritoneal dialysis, and cardiac patients on nontitrated drips. This unit offers excellent exposure for nurses interested in cardiac, neuro critical care, procedural nursing, or PACU/postop career paths.

What You'll Do:

• Provide patientcentered care and involve patients/families in decisionmaking

• Assess and document patient needs, education, and care plans

• Perform bedside handoff reports and maintain strong communication across the care team

• Monitor diagnostics, labs, and patient status to support safe clinical decisionmaking

• Participate in unit huddles, process improvement, and professional development

• Delegate tasks appropriately and support teambased care

• Complete annual competencies and maintain required certifications

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)

• Active RN licensure (or ability to obtain) in the hiring state/compact

• Required: BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire

• May Be Required Depending on Unit: ACLS, PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, or other unitspecific certifications

Preferred:

• Previous Med/Tele or acute care experience
