Job title: Sr Principal Engineer Systems.

LOCATION: Orlando, FL - Onsite Position

STATUS: Fulltime, Exempt Salary. 3-6-month effort with possibility for extension

Carley is seeking to hire a dedicated Sr Principal Engineer Systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AT CARLEY:

The Sr Principal Engineer Systems will serve as an integral member of the systems engineering team and will be responsible for collaborating with the customer, systems engineering leads, architects, software, gateware and test teams to develop concepts of operations, system concept definitions, and to shape and decompose system level requirements. Candidates should have experience with requirements tools and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and possess an active DoD Secret clearance. Ideal candidates are innovative, capable of multitasking, possess strong systems engineering knowledge, and are adaptable to fast-paced environments and agile methodologies.

Other duties and projects as assigned and needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and 8 years of related technical experience; Master's degree in a STEM field and 6 years of related technical experience, or PHD in a STEM field and 4 years of related technical experience

Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Experience developing concepts of operation and interface definitions, decomposing and allocating requirements, and translating requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools.

Experience implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methods.

Expert-level proficiency in SysML with at least 2+ years of experience developing use cases, sequence diagrams, and activity diagrams.

Experience developing models in Cameo Enterprise Architecture.

Experience working in an Agile framework.

Experience communicating technical topics clearly to customers and senior leadership.

Experience with requirements analysis, development and management

Proficiency with Requirements management tool Rational DOORS

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other stakeholders

Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, and requirements verification

Experience preparing verification documentation for system level requirements

Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities

Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production

Understanding of software development methodologies

Experience developing and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and processes

Due to the nature of the work at Carley, this position requires U.S. citizenship - REQUIRED.
