Senior Manager Employer Broker Relations - Strategic Planning

Under the direction of the, the Director of Individual Market Sales/Small Group Sales and broker relations will serve as the strategy and business development partner for Northern California and Providence Health Network (PHN) leadership teams to help grow business, including increasing net new patient growth in Individual Family Plan/Small Group and Medicare retention.

The Senior Manager, Broker Relations is responsible for leading the regional IFP/Small Group growth and outreach efforts across Northern California. The Senior Manager, Broker Relations will develop and execute all aspects of the approved plan, partnering with the employer groups, physician enterprise, regional leadership, local ministries, and marketing & communications teams. The Senior Manager, Broker Relations will also coordinate with sales channel partners and consumer education teams to hold and manage sales events, as well as track outcomes of events to ensure successful achievement of growth goals. Overarching goals of the position are to engage stakeholders in promoting the PHN businesses to retain and grow new Medicare Advantage lives and Commercial membership.

Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, or Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 7 years of Medicare Advantage and/or Individual and Family plans.
  • 6 years of Job related experience, preferably with deep technical and/or subject matter expertise.
  • 6 years of Management or administrative experience in health care, preferably in an integrated health delivery network.
  • 4 years of Leadership experience, which may include direct supervisory experience, lead experience, project management experience, or other related experience.
  • 2 years of Direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining trusted relationships with the broker community.
  • Experience in a health care organization, health system, health plan or broker consulting field.
  • Experienced in overall business strategy and analysis including marketing, quality, and financial analytics.
  • Excellent program management experience, including development of strategic plans, metrics and monitoring processes.
  • Experience that demonstrates effectiveness in accomplishing objectives in a complex organization.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
