Job Summary

The Sourcing Project Manager for Lamplight will plan, deliver and execute optimal supply chain solutions that include supplier identification, global supply resiliency, product and tooling quotations and final supplier selection for NPD and business development projects. The role will ensure business needs are supported by W.C. Bradley's integrated global supply chain. The role will own and manage sourcing activities for several concurrent and complex projects with goal of delivering the projects on time, on cost and as scoped. The Sourcing Project Manager will support the Global Sourcing Manager for sourcing strategy development and execution, increasing non-China supply capability, identifying new capabilities required to support future business objectives, annual supplier negotiations and annual business budgeting as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and execute sourcing plans that deliver on Lamplight NPD and business project needs and support W.C. Bradley's integrated global supply base initiatives for supply chain optimization, supplier consolidation and non-China supply chain resilience.
  • Own sourcing deliverables for NPD and business development projects and bring sourcing expertise relative to product sourcing, including make vs buy evaluations.
  • Be an accountable team member in the NPD and business development projects to support delivering projects on-time, on-cost and as-scoped.
  • Coordinate and manage sourcing processes used for quoting product and associated tooling, assessment of supplier proposals, and required Costed Bill of Materials for each quote for all NPD and business development projects.
  • Champion the source selection process throughout the NPD and business development process.
  • Support development and use of evaluation matrix process of new factories based on analysis of capabilities, quality systems, and total costs models.
  • Support annual supplier negotiations and annual business budgeting, as needed, leveraging global market trends that result in favorable results.
  • Support supply chain resilience by evaluating supply opportunities outside of China with the goal of reducing supply risk, total costs, lead times, and inventory.
  • Responsible for all project transfers, coordination of resources, and the successful delivery of desired results as intended for global sourcing that drive cost savings or reduce supply chain risk.
  • Develop and execute process improvements that support continuous improvement for the global sourcing function

Qualification Requirements

Minimum Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field


Minimum Work Experience



  • Three to five (3-5) plus years of experience in cross-functional product development environments
  • Project management experience preferred
  • CPG experience preferred


License(s) / Certification(s)



  • CPM, CPIM certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Global sourcing experience.
  • A proven track record of project management.
  • Experience working inside a structured, multiple phase gate type product development processes.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, effectively communicates with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail and solid business acumen.


  • Experience with team-based working environments and ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques used in volume production of CPG items.


  • Strong time management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing demands for time


  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and with required urgency.
  • Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally ~10% of the time.
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance
