DevOps Team Lead (Must Work EST Hours)

Our company is growing rapidly, and our investment in scalable platforms and strong operational foundations is essential to support that growth. We are seeking a DevOps Team Lead who can both manage and technically guide a high?performing DevOps engineering team.

In this role, you will focus on platform health, developer enablement, stability of development/production environments, CI/CD pipeline advancement, and operational efficiency through automation. Due to the operational nature of the position, some off?hours on?call support is required, with strong consideration given to maintaining a healthy work?life balance.

Required Experience
  • 5+ years leading a DevOps team, providing both managerial and hands?on technical leadership
  • 10+ years as a DevOps engineer with a professional software development background
  • Experience working in environments handling sensitive data (e.g., PHI, PII) and navigating strict access controls in partnership with security teams
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in DevOps best practices, automation strategies, and software delivery processes
  • Strong experience building containerized solutions for applications and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to support on?call escalation and occasionally work a shifted schedule for cross?time?zone support
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot platform and application issues, including root?cause analysis and post?mortems
  • Flexibility to plan daily team tasking while also coordinating larger cross?team DevOps initiatives
  • Must work EST hours
Technical Skills

Experience with one or more tools/technologies in each area:

CI/CD Platforms
  • GitHub, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, GoCD, Octopus, AWS CodeCommit/CodeDeploy
  • Android CI/CD experience is a plus (Gradle, Maven)
Cloud & Hosting
  • Azure App Services
  • Docker containerization
  • Kubernetes
Source Control
  • GitHub Enterprise, Git, Azure DevOps, TFS
Package Management
  • yarn, npm, NuGet Server, GitHub Packages, Azure Artifacts
Infrastructure & Configuration
  • IaC tools such as Terraform
  • Configuration management best practices
Automation & Scripting
  • PowerShell, Python, JavaScript
Monitoring & Observability
  • Telemetry platforms, dashboards, reporting, alerting
Agile Collaboration
  • Ability to work closely with architecture, security, infra, and development teams within Agile processes
