Position Summary

Summary:

Create and maintain CMMS equipment/MRO/personnel database. Plan, schedule and report planned, periodic and predictive maintenance tasks and MRO purchases to report those activities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Orders materials and supplies as required.
  • Logs all data related to machine maintenance (machine descriptions, machine fault descriptions, spare parts, planned and unplanned support activities).
  • Specifies materials and supplies as required; works directly with MRO inventory management to transfer inventory to CMMS and to maintain proper levels.
  • Recommend improved methods (e.g. Inventory reduction, personnel management).
  • Reports on performance of machines and support personnel.
  • Maintains preventive and predictive maintenance schedules on production machinery as required.
  • Recommends improved methods or processes. Implement new ideas.
  • Completes paperwork as required, including purchase orders, job cards, inspection reports, logs, etc.
  • May be called upon to work late evening, early morning, and other unscheduled hours to perform necessary emergency repairs.
  • Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control.
  • Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required: High school education with six years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Preferred: Associate's degree in industrial technology with emphasis in industrial management and six years' experience in a manufacturing setting.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the individual to handle and transport machine parts or equipment weighing up to approximately fifty pounds. Good to excellent personal computer skills and reasonable technical aptitude.
