Summary of Job Duties:In service to UAMS Health's Vision 2029 Strategic Plan and the annual UAMS Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Plan, the Quality Management Coordinator helps plan, develop, implement, monitor and improve the Quality Plan of their assigned Physician Service Line to improve the quality of care at UAMS. The SLQM Coordinator brings their unique clinical training and experience in healthcare to work closely with their Service Line Quality Officer and Service Line Leadership to assure that Service Line quality plans and activities align with institutional priorities and that Service Line-specific gaps and opportunities are identified and addressed. Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, other Allied Healthcare Professional Field or related field plus Five (5) years of experience in a Healthcare Quality Management or Performance Improvement-related setting or related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Public Health or related field plus Three (3) years of experience in a Healthcare Quality Management or Performance Improvement-related setting or related experience

    Special knowledge, abilities and skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge and experience related to performance improvement and change management
    • Knowledge and experience related to accreditation and regulatory compliance
    • Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Experience with reviewing charts in an Electronic Health Record

    Additional Information:

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and lead key programmatic functions within the Quality Management Department. Help coach and mentor Quality Management Coordinators to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data and reports.
    • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of agendas, reporting calendars, meeting documents, reports and presentations for committees such as QUEST, NQUEST, SLQUEST as well as Management Guidance Teams and Tactical Teams.
    • Maintain documentation archives for accreditation, certification, and compliance purposes.
    • Collaborate and partner with assigned Service Line Quality Officer(s) and Leadership to develop, implement and maintain annual Service Line Quality Plans. Assure that the plan is aligned with Vision 2029 and UAMS annual Institutional Improvement Identify appropriate and meaningful Service Line-specific priorities, improvement opportunities, and quality indicators.
    • Collaborate and partner with assigned Service Line Quality Officer(s) and staff to organize the work to achieve annual quality objectives.
    • Develop project charters and A3s, convene and facilitate tactical teams, design and implement project tracking of process and outcome measures, implement improvement interventions, and provide project management and change management facilitation and coaching.
    • Performs other duties as needed.
