About the role

We're seeking a Director, Corporate FP&A to oversee the company's financial strategy, planning, and reporting functions. This role serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing clear, data-driven insights that inform business decisions and drive sustainable growth.

As the head of a small, high-performing team, you will be responsible for leading budgeting and forecasting processes, strengthening financial discipline, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. You will bring both strategic perspective and operational rigor, able to dive deep into financial drivers while translating complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional stakeholders.

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office)and is located in Austin, TX.

What will you be doing?

Leadership Principles & Skills

Budgeting and Forecasting



  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess performance, scenarios, and investment decisions.
  • Track variances against budget and forecast, clearly explaining drivers and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in planning and reporting.


Financial Reporting



  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial reports, including the monthly, quarterly and annual financial package for the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, concise messages for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.


Strategic Financial Management



  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities, recommending strategies to improve profitability and sustainability.


Team Leadership and Management



  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Corporate FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive standardization and improvement of FP&A processes and systems across the organization.
  • Ensure workloads are prioritized effectively to meet deadlines and business needs.


Communication and Stakeholder Management



  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities with clarity and confidence.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to support collaboration and alignment.
  • Present financial insights to executive leadership in a compelling and actionable manner


What are we looking for?



  • 10+ years in Finance leadership roles
  • Proven experience in senior finance roles with responsibility for financial strategy, reporting, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software).
  • Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
  • Experience managing and developing small, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.


What will make you stand out?



  • Experience in Private Equity-backed, SaaS, or recurring revenue business models
  • Experience with board-facing reporting
  • Experience supporting M&A activity, integration planning, or strategic growth initiatives
  • A balanced leadership style - comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on.
