Job Summary:

The position manages the operations of Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center (FASC) and effectively integrates the functioning of all disciplines to maintain efficient patient care delivery and administrative systems. The positions works collaboratively with Corporate departments such as Strategic Planning, Finance, and Human Resources. In addition, the position is responsible for compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governing the privacy and of patients' protected health information.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic planning, analysis, development, and administration. This includes appropriate data collection, record system and statistical reporting.
  • Develop and monitor systems that facilitate the operations of the surgery center while maintaining regulatory compliance and quality patient care.
  • Develop and monitors performance indicators for all critical operations, evaluate outcomes, and provide timely correction to bring metrics into alignment.
  • Responsible for fiscal management of departmental budgetary allocations, development of revenue, and cost containment.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate programs to promote recruitment, retention, development, continuing education, and retention of staff members.
  • Foster and promote positive interactive behavior and communication with all members of the health care team to support MWHC iCare values.
  • Participate with Leaders from governing body, management, medical staff, and clinical areas to develop, review, and revise mission, strategic plans, resource allocation, operational plans and policies, and quality goals. Works with VP, to assure transparency of FASC operations and performance.
  • Assure that standards of practice, policies, and procedures are consistent with goals of quality patient care and patient satisfaction, financial responsibility, and aligns to the regulatory environment.
  • Acquire and manage services provided through contractual agreement and vendor relationships in concert with Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the health professions, business administration, public administration or other suitable field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Director of Ambulatory Surgery center
  • Experience in the use of desktop computers and clinical software.
  • Experience in the analysis, interpretation and presentation of data.
  • Experience managing change and leading Associates in the accomplishment of organizational objectives.
  • Experience in project management, reporting and monitoring activities required.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • RN License
  • ASC certification
